Thai bird's eye peppers are a fun one to grow, especially if you like a little heat in the kitchen. These small peppers pack a serious punch, far hotter than a jalapeño, and they bring a bright, sharp flavor that's a staple in Thai and Southeast Asian cooking. A handful goes a long way in stir-fries, curries, sauces, or infused into vinegar. I grew these from a Sweet Yards organic seed pack and had a great season with them. As you can see in the photo, they produce loads of peppers!
These seedlings are healthy and ready to go into the ground. Bird's eye peppers love warmth, so wait until the weather is reliably hot before planting, and expect around 90 to 100 days to reach mature, ripe red fruit. Give them plenty of sun, decent soil, and consistent watering. A little tip from my experience: the more you pick, the more the plant produces, so harvest regularly to keep them coming all season. They dry beautifully too, so you can string them up and have heat on hand well into the winter.
